the kasabah is one chefchaouen’s most iconinc landmarks ,located right in the heart of the medina at plaza UTA el- hamam built in the 15th century by MOULAY ALI ben rachid , this hitoric fortess was designed to protect the city from forgien invasions .
inside its high reddish-brown walls, you will find a serene ANDALUSIAN GARDEN filled with orange trees, flowers , and fountains offerig a peaceful escape from the livly streets of the madina. the kasabah also houses an ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEM where visitors can explore traditional costumes old weapons pottery .and historiccal artifacts that tell the story of chefchaouen’s cultural heritage.
